Demo S3Media Stream - Joomla! Extension

Under construction currently.  Some videos may not work while editing is in progress.

Chapters in a lengthy video

Below you find a demonstration of a lenghty streaming video cut into chapters virtually. I.e.: you can tell the player to start and stop the video at a specific position in the timeline. Here we show a video divided in 4 chapters:

You need the Flash Player installed to play this streamingvideo.

Keep in mind that this option only works with streaming (RTMP) video via S3 Amazon CloudFront.

Double protection with Private streaming

This video is set to expire in one minute for demo purposes. Go ahead, try to copy the url of this video, open a new window tab and paste it into the address bar en hit ENTER. If you are really quick, you will be able to play it, but if you click it a minute later the URL is obsolete forever! Even if you click on this video a minute later, it won't play anymore (a bit impractical in reality, best set it to at least 10 minutes).

Bottom line of this feature: Protect any of your media this way and leeching or unauthorized use is no longer an option. An added layer of protection is streaming because the video is buffered into memory, not on visitor's computer as with progressive download. Very useful for paid media in your membership area or just for media you want to show on your site but nowhere else.

NEW: AdSolution channels from LongTail Video

adsolution-demoOn special request from customers, we added the option to place ads from the AdSolution provided by Longtail Video. You need to have an account with them and it is best to have a premium account because it gives better targetted ads. We provide other options to monetize your media too.

NEW: HD Switching on Full screen

You can provide a smaller video for display in the page and a HD version for full screen. When the visitor clicks on the Full screen button, the video switches automatically to the high quality video. This ensures that you always have the best quality in relation to size. After all, having a HD video playing in a 480x305 player is a waste of bandwidth. Try it out for yourself:

You need the Flash Player installed to play this streamingvideo.

Notice that when you switch to full screen, the video goes further where you left off. This is only possible with streaming video.
The visitor can switch quality back to the low resolution version in full screen when their connection is not fast enough. For this they can use the HD button either in the control bar or the video area, depending how you set it.

Audio with all the whistles and bells

You need the Flash Player installed to play this audio.

Here is an audio that features subtitles, a poster image and a clickable watermark. Watermarks are useful to send visitors to a related page or even a sales page.
Note the CC icon on the right.  Even with audios you can chose to show icons in the video area or the control bar.
You can stream audio too, but then the poster image is not persistent like the example above. It disappears as soon as the audio starts to play.

There is a WordPress version too!

Due to numerous requests, we decided to create a Wordpress version of S3Media Stream as well.  Check it out at www.wp21century.com
Since WordPress is fundamentally different from Joomla, this 'plugin' has its own approach, but there is no coding involved, just like the Joomla!- version.
